"It should be obvious that any government that claims to be of the people and for the people must also serve the people. Yet it is clear that the current government does not serve the people-it exploits them. It is a government of the wealthy; a corporate, fascist government of the highest order. It is a government that spurns ordinary people and uses its power against them"

Malpractice in Canada aye?

Most people think that the Canadian health care system is one of the best in the world, that we are the envy of the US. Until you get ill. Sure most is paid for by our taxes, and believe me we are taxed up to the eye balls! With that being said though, when you need a service... get in line, and trust me it's a line you don't want to be in if you are in dire need of medical attention. And if you are in a lower income bracket you are left on your own, at the mercy of a deteriorating system. Let me make clear, I do not mind paying the taxes, however; when I or my family needs medical care I expect to be served in a timely fashion, with respect and a bit of empathy. After all they work for us, "the people".

I started this blog to let people know that "united we stand and divided we fall". There is "strength in numbers." As the population ages, I myself coming to that road, our health care is failing miserably. And it is only going to get worse as we age. In the province that I live in, no one is accountable. Unless someone makes a blatant mistake you have no legal recourse.

If anyone can use any of the letters that are written here to help with insurance claims, by all means fill your boots. If I can help one person, this blog would be worth it!

This blog is about my beautiful daughter who crossing the street in a well lit crosswalk and landed in the windshield of some yahoo who claims he did not see a beautiful, tall brunette in front of him. But that is the excuse that everyone in this province uses so that they are not held accountable. And the kicker is that the government pays them 90% of their wages, tax free.

"...remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me..."
Quote from the movie "V for Vendetta"

Later this week I will start writing from the first day of when the accident first took place to where we are today our battle against against government agencies including the health care system that we are forced to live by.

I want to hear what other Canadians have to say about our health care system as well as other countries especially the U.S. Is 18 to 48 hours too long of a wait in emergency? Why do people become doctors, is it the money or a sincere desire to help people? Should doctors and nurses be paid equally across the board? How can we the people help to improve our health care system? Should the government be held accountable? We voted them in we can damn well vote them out. What about Canada`s two tiered health care, should doctor`s be allowed to work in both public and private? Should private clinics even exist? Should Doctors be held accountable for their patients care or lack thereof as in my daughters situation?
